A Big Night

A Big Night

We had one hell of a night on Saturday at Colorado National Speedway. I am so dang proud of myself and the entire 21 GAM team - week after week, we work our tails off in the garage and at the track, so it feels really good to bring this one home! I couldn't do this every weekend without my crew, they're the best of the best.

We started off the day with two strong practice sets. Running in the top 5, and knowing we had a solid car, I was really optimistic. And I wasn't wrong - I ran a fast 3 laps in qualifying and took home a quick time...our second one of the season (not bad for three races, huh!).

The invert had us starting P6 for the heat race. It was a solid race and we ended up in P4. The car had a bit more but I decided to play it safe and hang on for the main event.

We started P2 in the main event. I gotta tell ya, between Gasser, Fox and I, we had some good racing up front. Gasser and I ran neck and neck for a few laps and I was able to pull ahead, leading the rest of the race and taking home the win. And gosh, it felt great! It's so fun to race those guys each week - I consider them both good friends and clean, competitive racing between friends is a good time.

We are tied with Gasser for first place points, and even though I've never really raced for points, it's exciting to be a contender this season!

I always need to give a big thanks to the 21 crew, and of course, to the sponsors and fans that make this possible.
