Long Nights

Long Nights

Following the last race, I shared that the 21 GAM team got the motor out of the car, and that we didn't believe that it was catastrophic. As it turns out, the camshaft broke — just a fluke parts failure. Thankfully the other damage was manageable, and even more, I'm grateful that our race night ended safely.

I wanted to take this chance to thank the team at Madcap Racing Engines. A special thank you to John and Chris for going above and beyond to get the motor rebuilt. From putting in long hours, working overtime and taking such good care of us, we absolutely couldn't have done it without them.

As of tonight (Thursday), we have the motor back from Madcap and will spend all of Friday and Saturday morning getting ready for race day on Saturday night. While I'm thanking people, I have to thank the 21 GAM team. To my mom, dad, grandpa, Chris, and Mike... thank you for everything you do to support me.

We'll be back this weekend at Colorado National Speedway! Here's to hoping we have the same speed but a better handle on the car to bring home a top finish.
